Yesterday I got my first taste of layoffs [www.reuters.com]. It was fucked. If a short meeting with a title like "Technical Review" appeared on your calendar Tuesday you were doomed. The meeting would conclude with your being escorted out of the building. They didn't send an email out to the company until 4:40pm after the last people were gone.
It was the first layoff in company history and it could have been handled much better.
Good news is I made the cut. Thus I will be able to afford organic vegetables to power future blog posts.

damn, dude. fuck all that noise. although, if you would have been laid off, i'm picturing you making a big scene and it taking 5 security guards with tasers to take you down.
that would have been pretty cool.
Every time they got me with a tazer I would have become larger and more powerful!
